Onyx Bud Vessel No.2
Black stoneware, clear glaze, white crackle glaze
3.5” Diameter x 4.5” Tall
Marked by the artist
A one-of-a-kind bud vase defined by intentional alteration and irregular form.
Wheel-thrown in black stoneware, the piece is carved by hand once removed from the wheel. The form has been hand-carved to reveal deep angular cuts and breakage. These gestures create an uneven silhouette and a sense of controlled disruption within the structure.
The interior is lined with a clear glaze, while the exterior is finished with a white crackle glaze that settles into the carved surface, emphasizing variation and depth.
Fired multiple times to achieve durability and the desired surface quality.
Designed for dried arrangements or standalone display, these vessels are not intended for use with water due to holes in the structure.
