Alexandria is an independent female artist, currently based in the United States. Inspired by the organic textures and colors of the natural world, bringing together form and function to elevate spaces with grounded beauty and intention.
Her vessels portray the concept that both strength and fragility can coexist. Visual and tactile displays that embody duality—rugged and refined, dark and light—mirroring the delicate contrasts woven throughout nature and our ever-evolving lives. She is drawn to what feels unearthed, ancient, and inherently wild.
Working with both wheel-thrown and hand-built techniques, collected objects—rocks, shells, and wood—to add texture, and allowing both intentional and natural breakage to emerge from the material. Each piece tells its own narrative. Often leaving surfaces raw to highlight the beauty of the clay.
With the incorporation of atmospheric firing, each vessel becomes truly unique. The flame, a quiet collaborator, transforms each surface into a rich landscape. Resulting in work that becomes something both ancient and newly formed.
